Domine Dominus noster: quam admirabile est nomen tuum in universa terra!
Quoniam elevata est magnificentia tua: super caelos.
Ex ore infantium et lactantium perfecisti laudem propter inimicos tuos: ut destruas inimicum, et ultorem.
Quoniam videbo caelos tuos opera digitorum tuorum: lunam et stellas quae tu fundasti.
Quid est homo, quod memor es eius: aut filius hominis, quoniam visitas eum?
Minuisti eum paulo minus ab Angelis, gloria et honore coronasti eum: et constituisti eum super opera manuum tuarum.
Omnia subiecisti sub pedibus eius: oves et boves universas, insuper et pecora campi.
Volucres caeli, et pisces maris: qui perambulant semitas maris.

O Lord our Lord: how marvelous is thy name in the whole earth.
For thy magnificence is lifted up: above the heavens.
Out of the mouth of infants and sucklings thou hast perfected praise because of thine enemies: that thou mayest destroy the enemy, and revenger.
For I shall behold thy heavens the works of thy fingers: the Moon and the Stars, which thou hast founded.
What is man, that thou art mindful of him: or the son of man, that thou dost visit him?
Thou hast diminished him a little less than Angels, with glory and honour thou hast crowned him: and hast appointed him over the works of thy hands.
Thou hast subjected all things under his feet: sheep and all oxen moreover also the cattle of the field.
The birds of the air, and fishes of the sea: that walk through the paths of the sea.
O Lord our Lord: how wonderful is thy name in the whole earth. |

Caeli enarrant gloriam Dei: et opera manuum eius annunciat firmamentum.
Dies diei eructat verbum: et nox nocti indicat scientiam.
Non sunt loquellae, neque sermones: quorum non audiantur voces eorum.
In omnem terram exivit sonus eorum: et in fines orbis terrae verba eorum.
In sole posuit tabernaculum suum: et ipse tamquam sponsus procedens de thalamo suo.
Exultavit ut gigans ad currendam viam: a summo caelo egressio eius.
Et occursus eius usque ad summum eius: nec est qui se abscondat a calore eius.
Lex Domini immaculata convertens animas: testimonium Domini fidele, sapientiam praestans parvulis.
Iustitiae Domini rectae, laetificantes corda: praeceptum Domini lucidum, illuminans oculos.
Timor Domini sanctus permanens in saeculum saeculi: iudicia Domini vera, iustificata in semet ipsa
Desiderabilia super aurum, et lapidem pretiosum multum: et dulciora super mel, et favum.
Etenim servus tuus custodit ea: in custodiendis illis retributio multa.
Delicta quis intellegit? ab occultis meis munda me: et ab alienis parce servo tuo.
Si mei non fuerint dominati, tunc immaculatus ero: et emundabor a delicto maximo.
Et erunt ut conplaceant eloquia oris mei: et meditatio cordis mei in conspectu tuo semper.
Domine adiutor meus: et redemptor meus. | Psalm [18]:
The heavens show forth the glory of God: and the firmament declareth the works of his hands.
Day unto day uttereth word: and night unto night showeth knowledge.
There are no languages, nor speeches: whose voices are not heard.
Their sound hath gone forth into all the earth: and unto the ends of the round world the words of them.
He hath put his tabernacle in the sun: and himself as a bridegroom coming forth of his bridechamber.
He hath rejoiced as a giant to run the way: his coming forth is from the highest heaven.
And his recourse even to the top thereof: neither is there any that can hide himself from his heat.
The law of our Lord is immaculate converting souls: the testimony of our Lord is faithful, giving wisdom to little ones.
The justices of our Lord be right, making hearts joyful: the precept of our Lord is lightsome illuminating the eyes.
The fear of our Lord is holy, permanent for ever and ever: the judgments of our Lord be true, justified in themselves.
To be desired above gold, and stone much precious: and more sweet above honey, and the honeycomb.
For thy servant keepeth them: in keeping them is much reward.
Sins who understandeth? from my secret sins cleanse me: and from other men's spare thy servant.
If they shall not have dominion over me, then shall I be immaculate: and shall be cleansed from the greatest sin.
And the words of my mouth shall be such as may please: and the meditation of my heart always in thy fight.
O Lord my helper: and redeemer. |

Domini est terra, et plenitudo eius: orbis terrarum, et universi qui habitant in eo.

Quis ascendit in montem Domini: aut quis stabit in loco sancto eius?
Innocens manibus, et mundo corde, qui non accepit in vano animam suam: nec iuravit in dolo proximo suo.
Hic accipiet benedictionem a Domino: et misericordiam a Deo salutari suo.
Haec est generatio quaerentium eum: quaerentium faciem Dei Iacob.
Attollite portas principes vestras, et elevamini portae aeternales: et introibit rex gloriae.
Quis est iste rex gloriae? Dominus fortis et potens, Dominus potens in praelio.

The earth is our Lord's, and the fulness thereof: the round world and all that dwell therein.
Because he hath founded it upon the seas: and upon the floods hath prepared it.
Who shall ascend into the hill of our Lord: or who shall stand in his holy place?
The innocent of hands, and of clean heart, that hath not taken his soul in vain: nor sworn to his neighbour in guile.
He shall receive blessing of our Lord: and mercy of God his saviour.
This is the generation of them that seek him: of them that seek the face of the God of Jacob.
Lift up your gates ye princes, and be ye lifted up O eternal gates: and the king of glory shall enter in.
Who is the king of glory? our Lord strong and mighty: our Lord mighty in battle.

Who is this king of glory? the Lord of powers he is the king of glory. |
